Coming Soon: Upgrading Your Non-VTEC Integra with HPS Performance

The 1994-2001 Acura Integra (DC2/DB8) is a legend of the tuner world. While the VTEC models get the glory, the 1.8L Non-VTEC (LS/RS/GS) is a capable platform begging to be worked on. HPS Performance is excited to preview our upcoming 837 Series Cold Air Intake Kit, designed specifically to wake up the B18 engine.

Stock air boxes are restrictive and often trap heat. This cold air intake moves the filtration zone to draw in cooler, denser air from outside the engine bay. Denser air means better combustion, resulting in power you can feel whether you are on your daily commute or chasing times at the track.

We strapped a 1995 Integra LS to the dyno to test the prototype and the results speak for themselves. The HPS intake starts pulling away from stock numbers around 3,500 RPM and keeps climbing.

While logging data is important, on-road testing is paramount. Our road tests confirmed that the car feels significantly more eager and responsive, especially in the upper RPM range where the stock system usually feels "choked."

Beyond the power, the sensory experience is transformed. By removing the factory sound baffles, we’ve given the engine its voice back. Cruising remains civilized, but under heavy throttle, the intake unleashes a deep, aggressive growl that perfectly complements the new power.
