Created as Toyota’s global racing division, Gazoo Racing takes the experiences and obstacles from tracks all around the world to develop top of the line performance vehicles that are street legal. There was no surprise when the coveted Toyota Gazoo Racing “GR” badge made it onto the all-new 5th generation Supra. Just like its predecessors, this Supra has a powerful inline-six engine and Rear-Wheel Drive. The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six model packs on the power with 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque and features a twin-scroll turbocharger, 11:1 compression ratio, and Variable Valve Timing.
What does HPS have to offer?
This powerhouse sports car is impressive on its own but with restrictions in the stock parts, there’s always room for improvement. With our knowledge and ability to engineer high quality performance parts, we put our heads together and crafted an intake system made from high temperature silicone for this beast as this type of material works well to keep IAT's at bay. To help unleash more authentic sounds from the engine, we eliminated the resonator located on the stock intake tube. In doing so, we also eliminated the accordion features making for smoother air flow to the engine. This streamline design aids in generating more overall power and performance.
Overall Benefits
Upgrading your GR Supra with our 57-1851 HPS Reinforced Silicone Air Intake Hose Kit is a great opportunity to further showcase its dominating power and boost the roar of the turbo. Dyno testing with this intake installed revealed performance gains of 7.7 whp and 8.1 lb-ft of torque. There is no need to swap out the factory air box and no sensors to mess with. Installation takes approximately 20 minutes to complete with a rating of 1/5 in mechanical difficulty so it won’t take away from the time you could be spending behind the wheel enjoying the drive.
